1. Brief Introduction
This kind of manganese surface conditioning agent is a kind of powdery surface conditioner. It is specially prepared for phosphating of manganese on surface of iron and steel. It can be used to deal with coarseness of alramenting film caused by rust removal by acid or derosination by alkali. This kind of manganese surface conditioning agent can accelerate generation of fine and dense phosphating film.
2.Operation Overview:
Slot compounding concentration: add 6~8 kg of this agent to 1000 liter of slot solution.
Process scope: temperature: 40~50鈩?
Processing time: at least 1min.
Use stirrer to stir constantly to make surface conditioner suspend on the slot solution.
3.Technological Process:
Before phosphating of manganese, workpieces must be cleaned and the surface must be conditioned. Generally speaking the steps are as follows.

4.Devices:
Medium carbon steel can be used for slot equipment. 300 Series stainless steel can be used for the stirrer. 316 stainless steel can be used for the heat exchanger.
5.Preparation Before Surface Conditioning:
(1) Derosination: There must be no grease or other pollutant before surface conditioning for all metals.
(2) Water scrubbing: After cleaning, it must be rinsed with water thoroughly. It is preferable to use water with the temperature lower than 50鈩? The water must overflow constantly to avoid contamination.
6.Use This Solution for Surface Conditioning:
Temperature of the slot solution must be kept at 40~50鈩? You鈥檇 better add the solution constantly, because manganese surface conditioning agent will lose efficacy with time. You need to make slot compounding again or add new surface conditioner according to the situation. Generally speaking, the slot must be change once a week. And it is preferable to make slot compounding every day.
You do not need to analyze surface conditioning slot, as it will lose efficacy with the time. When the phosphating film is not uniformly distributed or not fine enough, you need to add 1 kg of this manganese surface conditioning agent to every 1000 liter of the slot solution. If phosphating film is still unsatisfactory after 2 to 3 times of adding, you need to change a new slot.
According to our experience, this kind of adding cycle can make the phosphating film satisfactory all the time. It is better to add at the beginning of per shift.

7.After Surface Conditioning:
After surface conditioning, the metal surface can be coated with phosphating film immediately. There is no need to make other processing.
8.Storage:
This kind of manganese surface conditioning agent is a kind of solid compound which only needs to be stored at dry place.
9.Wastewater Treatment:
This surface conditioning solution is alkalescent which contains phosphate and heavy metal ion. Treatment and neutralization must be carried out before discharging.
10.Warning:
This slot solution is alkalescent. It is irritant to skin and eyes. When you make operation, please do not contact it with skin, eyes or clothes.
